The NSPCC 'Pantosaurus' crosses the finish line. Over 40,000 starters are once again competing in the Virgin London Marathon, including those who take on the race for charities, in running clubs, in memory of loved ones and as personal lifetime goals.
London, 22nd April 2018. Runners in the mass and fun runner race reach the iconic Tower Bridge at mile 12. Record numbers of runners are taking part in the famous race - just over 47,000 registered and around 41,000 have picked up their race packs at the start. Despite many struggling with the with the hot and sunny weather along the route, the race is still expected to be on track to beat previous finish like numbers, too.
