Steampunk fans and visitors, many in full retro-futuristic costumes and steampunk outfits, come together for ´Steampunk Jubilee Market´ Festival at the historic landmark Henrichenburg boat lift, part of Waltrop lock park on the Dortmund-Ems Canal, now an industrial museum. The old iron framework, control towers, machine houses and museum form an atmospheric backdrop for the festival, which features entertainment, stalls and food and steam punk related activities.

Cosplayers, fans and visitors once again descend on the ExCel London exhibition centre for MCM Comicon. MCM London Comicon returns 22-24 October for a celebration of Pop Culture.
